LG Display’s new Capacitive In-Cell Multi-Touch LCD panel has been given the go ahead by Microsoft with a Windows 7 Touch Logo certification. The 13.3-inch panel, that comes across a perfect fit for laptops with multi-touch functions that enable simultaneous recognition of two touch points, has in-cell touch sensor embedded in the display. A new FCC filing has provided more strength to talk on Microsoft’s Project Pink phone project. Significantly, this comes just as a few days after regulatory passage of the PB10ZU from Sharp. Close on the heels of the device expected to be the pebble-shaped Turtle comes the latest filing, for the PB20ZU. And, the latest FCC filing correlates with the second design.

Recently, Microsoft have revealed that the Xbox LIVE service is due to be updated soon, and the new update will make it incompatible with first-generation Xbox games. The company has taken great care to ensure their users aren’t left empty-handed from the whole ordeal, though.

HTC gave a slight hint at the possibility of a Windows Phone 7 update for their HTC HD2, but this all fell apart now as Microsoft denied this. The reason they’ve given is rather odd – the device apparently has too many buttons.
