'Breaking the ice' could take on a whole new meaning in future – that's if TAT's new concept Augmented Reality app takes off. Simply point your phone at a stranger and, using facial recognition tech, the new app will pull up their entire digital identity.

Dubbed both "mindblowing" and a "terrifying vision of the future", the possibilities of the Augmented ID app have so far left critics conflicted. The potential is exciting – but do you really want your latest drunken tweet to inform someone's first impression?

It's not quite

Modu has finally launched its 'jacket' mobile phone, allowing you to chop and change the style of mobile you want simply by slipping it into a new case.

The Modu phone has only 'soft-launched' in Israel at the moment, ahead of releases in the Philippines at the end of August, and the likes of South America and Greece later in the year.

BIKE MODE: The Modu device uses the Cycle jacket's screen to offer new functionality

Modu spoke to TechRadar and confirmed while the phone is on schedule for a likely launch in the UK and

Samsung has confirmed to TechRadar that it won't be bringing the S9110 watchphone to the UK for the foreseeable future.

Due to launch in France as a rival to LG's GD910 watchphone later this month, all eyes were on whether the €450 (£390) device would be landing in the UK.

Samsung declined to give us a reason for not bringing it over here, other than pointing out how many products have been launched in recent months.

However, it's perfectly plausible that the company is going to wait and see how

Updated: Another (more artistic) picture of the HTC Click has surfaced on Vietnamese site TinhTe's forum, which means it's getting more and more likely the phone will be hitting the shops in the near future.

Check out the new picture below, which shows the new phone really is dinky and has all the normal Android buttons we've come to expect.

Sadly, there's no lit screen to see how it will look, or any more clue how that massive button will work. Still, at least HTC isn't laurel resting.

The new handset, which bears a

Samsung's first Android phone (and the first from a company that isn't HTC) has gone on sale over in France.

Network Bouygues Telecom, the third largest carrier in the country, is offering the phone for €89 (£75) but with a two year contract.

As we stated before on TechRadar, it looks likely you'll have to pay nearly £500 for the privilege, although it's nearly £100 less SIM free across the channel.

Exclusive deal?

O2 will be bringing the phone to the UK, although it's not confirmed whether this will be on an

According to Jacqueline Yang, associate vice president of marketing at Asus, the firm will manage to get the device out by Q1 2010, or possibly sooner.

After pairing your Bluetooth mobile phone with Phone Plugins, you can use your Mac to send an SMS or dial out from your handset.

Just highlight a phone number offered in any application, right or click to access the contextual menu and pick one of the new options, Send Text or Dial Number.

Naturally, the phone number must be an actual character string and not part of a graphic. Thus you could use a number offered in a text document, PDF, email or Address Book, but not from a screenshot or photograph.

It ignores spaces, so numbers that are

BT and 3 have launched a campaign to axe mobile termination rates – in a move that could save the average UK phone user huge amounts of money.

The campaign sees BT and 3 call for changes to MTRs – which are the fees levied by a network to allow other networks to connect to its users.

Obviously such a move could bring massive potential savings to heavy users, with suggestions that some bills would be halved.

Media backing

Backed by the likes of The Sun newspaper, BT and 3 believe a flat rate of £35 should allow
