Microsoft has officially launched the Windows Phone 7 and with it the Windows Phone Series, with the promise that we’ll see the first devices on the market by the holiday 2010 shopping season. Windows Phone 7 most definitely has the user in mind with Zune and Xbox integration.
And it looks and presumably feels more like an iPhone. The UI is simple and elegant. The folks over at MSDN have a 22 minute video walkthrough that explains everything. It looks like Microsoft has really nailed it here. Hit the link below to check it

Just how much resolution is enough on our phones? Apparently we aren’t there yet. The Qisda QCM-330 delivers a 1,280 x 1,024 resolution on its 4-inch screen. That’s more than you probably have on your laptop.
The phone is set to be unveiled next month at CeBIT and then you can expect it in Europe on Vodafone. I wonder how such a high resolution looks on such a small screen. Better, that’s for sure, but is it useful? We can’t wait to get more details on this one.

According to Motorola, the company plans to out a whole bunch of Android phones in 2010. This render suggests that the MOTOSPLIT might be one of them. Like the Samsung Alias 2, the MOTOSPLIT features a keyboard with tiny touch screens for keys. This one can also slide out in landscape or portrait, with the mini screens updating on the fly.
The downside here is that the specs will be more or less the same as the Backflip. Anyway its just a rumor for now. We’ll see if anything comes of it. If you believe it, Motorola expects the phone to be

Who’s this sexy beast? The LG Mini GD880, which runs LG’s S-Class OS, and not Android for some reason. Didn’t they get the memo, that everyone is going Android? I guess peer pressure doesn’t always work. Still this phone has some nice specs, like the 16:9 aspect ratio.
On a display of just 3.2-inches. We don’t know a lot about it, but we do know it has a 5.0-megapixel camera with face detection, Wi-Fi, and HSDPA 7.2Mbps connectivity.
Nothing on price yet, but you can expect it to be in their expensive range

Ever since the iPhone came out, rumors have been rife about Microsoft entering the scene with a phone based on their Zune series of personal media players. That was a long time ago and now fresh rumors are circulating that the Zune Phone may in fact be coming this month!
According to the guys at MuyComputer , the Zune phone will debut at the Mobile World Congress ( MWC ) later this month. Their report claims that the device will definitely be powered by an NVIDIA Tegra processor. Gizmodo also seems to be pretty sure that the

Since the last time we mentioned it, the MyTether app for WebOS phones has gone up in price from a requested $10 donation to $14.95, but that's still considerably cheaper than Verizon's $40 per month Mobile Hotspot plan. We're still leery about what usage/overusage could mean for your contract & bill, but a new beta version has been posted that officially supports the Pre Plus and according to the developer "makes use of the API calls behind MHS" to let it work more smoothly. Even with the Pre's openness to hackery we had some issues getting the beta installer to

Is that really an image of Michelle Pfeiffer from Grease 2 being used to pimp out yet another pink phone to girls? Why yes. Yes it is. Though I’m not sure if this is an actual image from the company. Japan’s NTT Docomo has teamed up with “Seventeen” magazine to announce a new FOMA branded clamshell device in Pink. The “SH-05B” is arriving on Feb 05th and will be available in two versions of Pink. Yurukawa pink which means “loosley pink” and yancha pink which means “mischievous pink”.
The handsets are

Well, that didn’t take long. The Nokia X6 16GB is now official. Yesterday we told you about the pink version. The phone doesn’t have Comes With Music, but here’s some of what it does have:

Expect the Nokia X6 16GB this quarter. Nothing on price yet, but we expect it to be about €350 (or $492).

Looks like a hands-on photo of the HTC Bravo has appeared. The device sort of resembles the Google Nexus One, but with more hardware buttons and the trackball replaced with an optical trackpad. As far as features, the HTC Bravo includes the following:
A 3.7 inch AMOLED WVGA multi-touch display, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, 512MB of RAM, 5MP camera with HD video recording, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 1GHz processor, and Android 2.1.
It should be available in March, with T-Mobile UK being among the first carriers to sell it. What do you

Landline phones may be squaresville man, but VTech is still making them at least interesting. You have to give them that. The new LS6325 is the first DECT 6.0 push-to-talk cordless phone on the market. Hurray!
So feel free to go all walkie-talkie from up to 1,500 feet away if you like. A three-handset pack will cost $80 and the four-pack will be $90. They launch in April if you are feeling the urge to upgrade your landline.
Anyone want this or are you too busy on your iPhone?
