Sony have just revealed that gamers who own a PS3 are going to get some great additions to their console really soon, in the form of improved 3D support. The new firmware update will make the console 3D-ready, by enabling complete HDMI 1.4 support on it.
If you’re a PS3 owner, what this means for you is that you won’t need to do any extra configuration on your new 3D monitor, you’ll just have to get your PS3 and plug the TV’s HDMI cable in it – afterwards the console will be able to automatically recognize the 3D monitor and change its behavior

Shoulder buttons? Never heard of ‘em. Give us all our buttons in a nice rainbow-shaped array and a big stick for our southpaw and leave us well enough alone. Hori, the company behind the most righteous Tekken 6 arcade controller, is back with a Street Fighter-inspired effort for the true enthusiasts out there. This new deck is a direct copy of the Sanwa arcade cabinets housing Street Fight IV, meaning you can finally take your epic fighting skills home without fearing the misshapen things other people call controllers. Even after all this time Sony’s hand-held wand bent on bringing some of that interactive Wii game play to the PS3 still doesn’t have a name. Announced at E3, Sony as recently as January 20th was still calling its PS3 Motion Controller, well, “Motion Controller” in its official communications with a footnote that the name was still tentative. Of course, we’ve heard whispers that it’ll be called Arc — and we’re not alone. THQ boss Brian Farrell has either been reading the same sites as us or (more likely) is privy to some inside

Hey there, why so glum? You’ve overfilled your PS3′s internal storage with mission-critical data and don’t have anywhere else to stash your incoming Best of Miley Cyrus compilation? The two drives on offer come with a generous 500GB of storage and

Sony has announced that its motion control peripheral for the PS3 will not be shipping in Spring 2010 as originally planned. Instead it will arrive in the fall, when they will have “an exciting and varied line-up of software titles that will deliver the new entertainment experience to PS3 users,”.
No big deal. We’d rather have a delay of the device with more quality games to play when it does arrive. It is a bit scary that this controller somewhat resembles a vibrator though.
It will be here soon, much to your girlfriend’s delight.

Remember that retooled controller that Sony seemed darn well inclined to bring to the masses with its PlayStation 3? Some might say that was the original Arc, but given that just about everyone laughed the design off and forced the company’s hand with the conventional SIXAXIS, there seems to be a distinct possibility that the suits are about to get their revenge. According to “a concrete source speaking under conditions of strict anonymity,” VG247 has it that Sony’s forthcoming PS3 motion controller will be labeled Arc when it hits retail shelves
