We talked just a few hours back about the price of the BlackBerry PlayBook and the fact that it was available for pre-order starting today. But one little detail still eluded us and that was the release date of the PlayBook. Just hours later RIM has decided to put in the last piece of the puzzle as they have announced that the PlayBook will be available in stores starting April 19th in North America.
Those waiting for the PlayBook in the US and Canada now have a day to pencil down in their calendars and in case you are one of those who has already made up their mind on the

The official launch date for Xperia Play in UK is March 31st and in case you want to check it out in stores before you bring it home, then all you need to do is wait for another week.

We finally have the pricing on another 4G mobile and this one is coming out from T-Mobile and Samsung. The Sidekick 4G from Samsung will be available on T-Mobile on a contract price of $99.99 and that will be only for those who are willing to sign on the dotted line with T-Mobile for a couple of years. Not just that, but to avail the $50 mall-in-rebate, you will have to opt for the unlimited data plan and anything less will see you part with $149.99!
Obviously for those willing to go with an unlimited plan on T-Mobile, the $99.99 does look like a pretty good price tag for a 4G

RIM has stayed true to their word and has just brought out their PlayBook for a price tag that is below $500. Not by much and you really are not going to do much with the 1 cent that you save on it. But it still is that illusive $500 price range that everyone talks about. But then, come to think of it this is still a 7-inch tablet and hence probably comparisons are not fair.
Putting all the comparisons and the ‘tablet war predictions’ aside, the news is that BlackBerry PlayBook will be available for pre-order starting tonight and in case you just want a 16GB Wi-Fi-Only

We knew this was coming some time away with all the leaks and other news bits flowing in from Moto. But it is finally official now and Motorola is going to offer a Wi-Fi-only Xoom starting March 27th at a price of $599. Unlike the 3G/4G version, this will be available across the table at all major retailers and you need not necessarily go to Verizon for this one.
Coming a couple of weeks after the iPad 2 launch, the Wi-Fi-only Xoom still costs $100 more than the basic iPad 2 version and whether some people out there like it or not, it will still no doubt be a huge factor when

HP CEO Leo Apotheker has confirmed what was earlier rumored thanks to some well placed sources. The HP Touchpad will be out in June for sure and according to HP CEO, there will be no pushing back on the month of release. While he refused to give the exact date of launch, we now at least can be sure about when it will hit the stores.
Also the price tag of $699 for the Touchpad is as good as confirmed and with BlackBerry Playbook and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (& even 8.9-inch possibly) also set for release in moths to come, it is more or less going to be an all out war between
