Sony Ericsson said that there would be no Gingerbread update for Xperia X10. Well, it is hard enough to get Smartphone updates when companies promise them well ahead (ask the Samsung consumers about that and they will tell you the long, hard tale), but to get an update that was not promised is a real sweet surprise indeed. But that is exactly what Sony Ericsson is offering to the Xperia X10 users.
Those stuck on Éclair aka Android 2.1 on the Xperia X10 will soon be able to jump to Gingerbread. The announcement just became official as Sony Ericsson promised to release the

Mozilla has just made Firefox 4 available and open for download. When Firefox 3 came out, it became the most downloaded software by setting numbers in the range of 8 million in just the first 24-hours after launch. Now we have the jump from the 3.6.15 version of the Firefox we are currently suing to Firefox 4 and the latest download that is obviously free, is expected to generate as much interest as Firefox 3, if not more.
Remember that Firefox is still the leading web OS and along with Chrome, one of the most trusted web browsers on the planet with 400 million active users.

Images of Samsung’s latest 8.9-inch tablet along with a revamped 10.1-inch model have just hit the net along with detailed spec sheet. IT seems like Samsung has taken on the thinness challenge thrown down by Apple pretty seriously and is offering two tablets that are thinner than Apple iPad 2. Samsung is so smitten about shedding weight that they are offering both the 8.9-inch and the 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab models at just 0.33mm thickness.
We all remember that iPad 2 was 0.34mm in thickness and that means Samsung has just got on a level playing field in this department with

Seems like the cloud is quickly clearing on the price range of various tablets that are soon to step out into store shelves to take on the likes of Xoom and iPad 2. Earlier today we found out about the pricing of the 16GB Wi-Fi only BlackBerry PlayBook and now is the time to talk about what LG and T-Mobile are offering customers in terms of the LG G-Slate that was unveiled earlier this year ate MWC. Well, the price tag is out folks and we can assure you that it is not as light on your pocket as you would think.
The 8.9-ich LG G-Slate will be offered by T-Mobile on an

We finally have the pricing on another 4G mobile and this one is coming out from T-Mobile and Samsung. The Sidekick 4G from Samsung will be available on T-Mobile on a contract price of $99.99 and that will be only for those who are willing to sign on the dotted line with T-Mobile for a couple of years. Not just that, but to avail the $50 mall-in-rebate, you will have to opt for the unlimited data plan and anything less will see you part with $149.99!
Obviously for those willing to go with an unlimited plan on T-Mobile, the $99.99 does look like a pretty good price tag for a 4G

The hood has come off of T-Mobile G2x at CTIA and this brand new 4G device from LG should make Android fans really happy. Why? For the very simple reason that it comes with Stock Froyo and while some will say that it should come out straight with Gingerbread, it is still something that many would be happy about, no doubt.
The G2x (Optimus 2X) is now official and even if you are a bit bothered about the AT&T – T-Mobile deal, this one still seems a fine mobile to pocket. The news is that T-Mobile G2x will be available this spring and hence you really need not wait all too

Remember HP Veer? Yup, that cute little slider with webOS inside and it is apparently all set to come out in Germany this May. This comes from a tweet thanks to O2 Germany who have confirmed that the Veer will be launching in Germany this May. That probably means that rest of Europe and US will also be getting it about the same time.
While there are those who are waiting for Pre 3, the Veer also provides an option of a slider from HP with webOS inside. Coming with a 2.6-inch multi-touch screen Veer sports a 5-megapixel camera with extended depth of field, 8GB internal memory,

With the Mobile World Congress 2011 and the likes of Nintendo 3DS and Sony’s Playstation Phone, there has been plenty of talk about mobile gaming units. But it is still the gaming consoles that form huge chunks of business for these firms. Nintendo admittedly knows that the Wii sales are not too strong currently and they are going to do something about that.
According to EA Games Frank Gibeau, Nintendo Wii 2 will arrive in the latter half of this year and it is going to be launched at E3 2011. That sure is great news for all those who are waiting for the next version of the

You could say that the Samsung Galaxy Player is the Galaxy S without calling features and those 3G options. Yup, the portable media player from Samsung is all set to make its way out carrying Android Froyo 2.2 and hence you might well have to wait for a Gingerbread update on it. (And knowing Sammy, you will learn all about waiting till finally you are least bothered about the update when it is finally out!)
That little issue apart, the 4-inch and 5-inch versions of the Galaxy Player are all set to arrive on US soil by spring and in case you are interested in grabbing one, then

Here is the from Phil Schiller that has got everyone going on the arrival of the white iPhone 4.
“@airickanderson Hi Eric. The white iPhone will be available this spring (and it is a beauty!)”
But with that piece of news now officially confirmed from a source that is indeed from Apple, the bigger question that looms on the horizon is if people actually want to buy the white iPhone 4 a couple of months ahead of what looks like the launch of iPhone 5.
We understand that there are plenty of people out there who have been waiting long and hard for the launch of the white
