Samsung's range of low-cost laptops is anything if not predictable. The N120 clings on to most of the same features as the N10 and the N110 before it. The Samsung N120 has the Atom N270 processor, the same chip that's at the heart of most of the world's netbooks. It has 1GB RAM, and with that magic number comes permission to pre-install Windows XP. So far so standard, bar the rather generous 6-cell battery which gives you a realistic five and a half hours of use on a single charge. The graphics processor is a step up from those in the original wave of netbooks, though.

Samsung has unveiled three new HD camcorders designed to make shooting things really, really clearly even easier. The HMX-U10 is a teeny little camcorder that records in full HD and also allows camera lover to take 10 MP still photos. An easy to hit upload button provides an easy connection to YouTube for video sharing. It has a 56mm x 103mm x 15.5mm, and weighs 95g with battery, meaning it's pocketable alongside your mobile phone as well.It has a different design in that it's angled in a sort of wave pattern, apparently reducing stress on the arm by removing the need to tilt

Samsung's R-series offers good quality and features at affordable prices. The R522 is a mid-range system that features impressive quality, good usability and a true widescreen display. The screen measures 15.6 inches and features a 16:9 aspect ratio. As such, films play back without intrusive black bars at the top and bottom. The 1366 x 768 pixel resolution allows space for viewing windows side by side when multi-tasking. Unfortunately, this is as far as multimedia use goes, as the Samsung features the least powerful graphics card around – an integrated Intel chip. Those

A tiny toughbookThe netbook craze shows no signs of abating this year, with the three major manufacturers leading the mini-laptop charge – Taiwanese companies Asus (Seashell), Acer (Aspire One) and MSI (Wind) – bringing out faster, slimmer and more attractive machines with increasingly better battery life. Samsung has decided to shake things up, following up its cracking little NC10 netbook from last year with its latest chunky, funky-looking N310. Designed by Japanese artist Naoto Fukasawa, these round-edged, cutesy machines are available in a range of

Samsung Mobile Displays has announced production ready OLED panels, at 14.1- and 31-inch screen sizes, which could spark a new wave of LCD competitors. While the world is still waiting to see a rival emerge for Sony's XEL-1 11-inch OLED TV, these new panels would be used in laptops and as a rival to larger screen LCDs.Using a process known as Fine Metal Mask technology, Samsung is able to make OLEDs more cost efficiently by losing fewer materials in the production process, thus making larger displays viable.Super slimThe 14.1-inch display is Widescreen XGA,

Samsung Mobile Display (the display arm of Sammy tasked with OLED making) has announced a new breakthrough in OLED resolution, making it four times more sharp than current offerings. This means that while you may have cooed over the clarity of the Omnia HD and the new Zune HD (are you spotting a theme here?) your eyes are about to get another visual treat. The new version from SMD comes with a WVGA 800x400 pixel count (such as that seen on the new LG Viewty Smart) and 300 pixels per inch... which you can believe us is pretty high-res.Less power, more lightNot

Samsung has a habit of making its gear look the absolute business, no matter how well it actually performs. Splash the cash on some Samsung AV gubbins and you can be sure it'll draw admiring glances, whether you choose to switch it on or not. The HT-BD7200 Blu-ray home cinema package is no exception. Designed to complement Samsung's 'Crystal' range of flatscreens, it sports a semi-translucent outer shell on the main unit and the two semi-tallboy speakers and passive subwoofer. Sure, it's a tad plasticky and attracts dust, but if you're looking for something to sit in front

At just over an inch in depth, the UE40B7000 is one of the thinnest HDTVs I've ever clapped eyes on. Most flat panel televisions are fairly skinny to start with, but Samsung has succeeded in making this 40in LED eye-poppingly, supermodel thin. But don't for a second think that the company has stripped out the features and compromised on performance in order to achieve this pancake-like profile; the UE40B7000 comes with all the gubbins you'd expect from a top of the range LCD. Behind the 1920 x 1080 resolution glass is a range of image enhancement technologies, including

Samsung's latest budget Blu-ray deck is something of an oddity. Its claims to be compatible with digital media and the BD Live service (the latter even wirelessly) might lead you to believe that the BD-P1600 is punching above its price tag. Features On paper this is a fabulously well-specified deck. Best of all, it's far smaller than most Blu-ray players, though the build quality is rudimentary; a flap on its front hides some touch-sensitive controls and a USB slot as well as the disc tray itself, but the finish is functional, rather than classy.
