Kingmax announced its new MMP30 mSATA solid state drive using SATA III 6Gbps interface. With a compact form factor, Kingmax’s new SSD is an economical SSD solution for Ultrabooks, tablet PCs and small form factor systems. It is powered by LSI Sandforce controller, and offers up to 320MB/s read and 520MB/s write speeds.
With support for Intel’s Smart Response Technology, Kingmax’s MMP30 can be configured as a cache drive to enhance overall performance of the computer. It comes in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB.

SanDisk announced its newest high-performance Extreme series solid state drive for the consumer market. According to the flash memory maker, the new SSD is up to 10 times faster than a 7200RPM hard drive, allows computer users to quickly boot and shut down their systems, launch applications faster and reduce wait times.

Plextor announced at the CES 2012 the new M3 Pro solid state drive that offers improvements to the current M3S, including a significant boost in sequential and random read/write speeds. The new M3 Pro comes in 7mm height form factor to fit ultra slim notebooks and is based on Toshiba’s 24nm Toggle Flash. It uses the SATA III 6Gbps interface.

Kingston announced the SSDNow V200 series solid state drive with SATA III 6Gbps interface. According to the company, the new V200 is nearly twice as fast as the previous SSDNow V100 SSD and is 20% less in price than V100. The 2.5-inch drive is available in both 7.0mm (64GB/128GB) and 9.5mm (256GB) form factor to fit more systems.
