Seagate launches the GoFlex Satellite mobile wireless hard drive (model STBF500101), the first battery-powered external hard drive to wirelessly stream content to any WiFi-enabled mobile device. Seagate’s new drive has 500GB of storage capacity. It suppprts WiFi 802.11b/g/n allowing users to access stored movies, photos, music and documents wirelessly from iPad and other mobile devices via dedicated app or web browser. It is able to stream media over Wi-Fi to 3 iPads at the same time.

Toshiba brings several new models to its Satellite C665D series featuring AMD’s Fusion E-series Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) with on-die graphics. These C655D models are powered by AMD’s E-240 or E-350 processor and the integrated graphics includes DirectX 11 support.
The Satellite C655D models have up to 4GB of RAM, a DVD SuperMulti drive, and 250GB/320GB hard drive. They support WiFi and comes with a multitouch touchpad, built-in webcam, a 15.6-inch LCD display, and a 10-key numpad. Seven models are available and the price starts at $398.99.

There’s always a new use for mobile phones turning up, from email to internet, mobile blogging to gaming – oh, and making calls.

Toshiba has unveiled several new notebooks that are new additions to its popular Satellite and Qosmio families. The newly unveiled Satellite notebooks include the Satellite E305, the A660, the M640, and the L650. The other notebook series, the Qosmio X505, is meant for gaming or entertainment.
The Satellite E305 is one of the many new laptops that are based on Intel’s second-generation Core i5 processor.

AT&T has announced the TerreStar Genus Hybrid Satellite Phone and it will be coming with a price tag of $799. The dual-mode cellular/satellite smartphone, which was announced last year, has taken some time to arrive even though it was announced to be available in the first quarter of this year.

Toshiba is making a few new additions to their line of notebooks. They have now announced four new machines available from right now in the US. This includes the 15.6-inch Tecra A11, the Core-i7 packing Qosmio X500 , Satellite Pro L450 and Satellite L500.

Toshiba’s new Satellite E205 notebook was unveiled at CES earlier this month and it caught some attention due to some rather cool features. As promised, it is a Best Buy exclusive and is now on the shelves at a cheaper price than the initially announced price of $999 . What makes this notebook different is its wireless display tech. With the help of that, you can stream video to your TV without needing wires.

CES is great and all, but one of the bones we choose to pick with the show is the typically long gap between the Vegas introduction and the mass market ship date.
