Seagate launches the GoFlex Cinema multimedia drive, which is a HD media player with built-in hard drive. The drive supports media playback in Full HD 1080p and offers HDMI 1.3 output. The GoFlex Cinema is avalable in 1TB, 2TB and 3TB, and users can expand capacity by swapping out GoFlex Desk drives. It uses USB interface, allowing you connect a second USB drive or digital camera for a wider range of digital media inputs.

Seagate launches the GoFlex Satellite mobile wireless hard drive (model STBF500101), the first battery-powered external hard drive to wirelessly stream content to any WiFi-enabled mobile device. Seagate’s new drive has 500GB of storage capacity. It suppprts WiFi 802.11b/g/n allowing users to access stored movies, photos, music and documents wirelessly from iPad and other mobile devices via dedicated app or web browser. It is able to stream media over Wi-Fi to 3 iPads at the same time.

Seagate introduces the industry’s first 1.5TB portable hard drive, the 1.5TB FreeAgent GoFlex (model STAA1500100). As part of the GoFlex family, the 2.5-inch compact hard drive will ship with a USB 3.0 interface cable offering SuperSpeed transfer speed and backward compatibility to USB 2.0.
