Wal-Mart might be getting ready to launch the Apple iPad very soon. Earlier, there were hints that the retailer would be selling the device later this year. Now, a leaked document is proof that the launch might actually happen next week. Back in May, it was announced by Wal-Mart that it had plans to start selling the iPad in its US retail stores “later this year”. Now, a leaked internal email that emerged last week gives us some of the details surrounding the retailer’s iPad launch. Apple is said to be gearing up for  a special event on September 7 and that event might see the company unveiling new iPods and the new Apple TV. Bloomberg has reported that a new Apple TV, rumored to be renamed iTV, will come with a more tempting $99 price-tag. It will be equipped with a smaller hard drive, used primarily to screen content from iTunes. Apple is expected to hold the media event two weeks ahead of the start of the new prime-time TV season in the US and that the company is in advanced talks with News Corp. to let iTunes users rent TV shows for just 99 cents.

There was something unbelievably charming about playing 1 vs 100.  Was it the silly avatar dances? The fact that you can play with friends? The surprisingly funny host? It was something that you looked forward too every day. This scheduled show will always have a warm place in all our hearts. Unfortunately, like the TV show it wanted to be, it was cancelled. It’s hard to hear but after two very successful seasons, the series is coming to a close.
