Sony Ericsson announced its Xperia arc S, an enhanced version of the Xperia arc. According to the company, the new arc S eatures 25% faster camera start up and media conversion , along with 20% faster web page rendering compared to Xperia arc, thanks to the new powerful Snapdragon MSM8255 1.4GHz processor. The phone comes with a 4.2-inch 854×480 Reality display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine and a 8.1 Megapixel caemra with Exmor R for mobile image sensor. It includes the 3D and 2D sweep panorama photography.

First announced at the CES 2011, Asus’ Eee Pad MeMO is a 7-inch Android tablet. Now, at the Computex 2011, Asus has added 3D capability to the device and calls it Eee Pad MeMO 3D that has a 7-inch glasses-free 3D IPS LCD touchscreen display. The screen offers 1024×600 resolution and supports multitouch.
The Eee Pad MeMO runs latest version of Android OS. Like the HTC Flyer, the MeMO will come with a capacitive stylus.

NTT DoCoMo is going to release in June/July in Japan its MEDIAS WP N-06C super slim waterproof Android smartphone. At its thinnest part, the N-06C is just 7.9mm thick (9.7mm thick around the camera). It packs a 4-inch 480×854 touchscreen LCD display, a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera with face detection, built-in 1Seg mobile TV tuner, integrated GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity.

With a bar-type form factor and a large 4.8-inch touchscreen, I am just not sure whether should I call the ICONIA SMART a smartphone or a tablet. While dual-core smartphones are coming, Acer’s SMART packs a 1GHz SnapDragon processor. It runs Android 2.3 Gingerbrad OS with Acer custom UI.

Sprint has just announced the new HTC EVO 3D, America’s first 4G smartphone with a 4.3 inch 3D QHD display that allows you to view 3D without having to wear 3D glasses. The EVO 3D has a similar design like the original EVO 4G. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm SnapDragon processor with 1GB of RAM and 4GB internal memory; and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS with HTC Sense.

HTC’s HD7 Windows Phone 7 smartphone has been available from T-Mobile for a white. AT&T is going to release it own version that is called HTC HD7S, which includes the latest version of Windows Phone 7 with copy and paste functionaity and the preloaded U-verse Mobile application allowing qualifying AT&T U-verse customers to download and watch hit TV shows on their Windows Phone.

Sony Ericsson has uploaded two hands-on videos of the Xperia arc to YouTube, one above the camera and the other about the design and home screen of the arc. As you may know the Xperia arc is Sony Ericsson’s upcoming Android flagship. It has a super slim design and an arc body and comes with a 8.1 Megapixel camera with Exmor R for mobile back-illuminated CMOS sensor for low-light photography and video recording. The phone also packs a 4.1-inch Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and HDMI output.

We spent some time with the HTC Merge at the CTIA and now we have confirmation that Alltel has bagged this cute handset on to their network. The pre-orders for HTC Merge on Alltel will start on March 28 for a price of $125 on contract.
HTC is trying out the dual mode on Android platform for the first time in Merge. It can work well on CDMA and GSM networks. Being the first carrier to get the Merge, Alltel is asking foe a two year contract along with a qualifying rate plan from customers who want to pre-order this Android slider.

We don’t think we have to remind you about the HTC HD7 handsets visit to the FCC some time back in October 2010. The device has now got a teardown, thereby revealing the interiors.
What we get to see include the Qualcomm SnapDragon processor that would power the device and also the Qualcomm Power Management chip and 16GB SanDisk internal storage.

Verizon Wireless is going to release the HTC Thunderbolt LTE 4G smartphone, on 17 March for $249.99 with a new two-year customer agreement. The Thunderbolt is the carrier’s first LTE 4G smartphone, supporting the LTE network for download speeds of 5 to 12 Mbps and upload speeds of 2 to 5 Mbps in 4G coverage area.
