The Nokia C7, the second Nokia smartphone which is based on the new Symbian platform, has now begun shipping. The smartphone, which was announced back at Nokia World 2010, has an estimated retail price of EUR 335 before applicable taxes or subsidies, with pricing and availability varying from region to region and operator to operator.

The Nokia N8 Symbian^3 flagship smartphone has manged to make it to the UK markets and the assessments are already out. Those who’ve got a chance to lay their hands on it are confirming the N8 to be the best ever Nokia smartphone until date. Yes it does not come with a 1GHz processing option, but its 680MHz ARM11 processor speed is still good enough to handle Symbian^3.

Finally Nokia officially unveils the E7-00 Symbian^3 smartphone. Designed for business, the E7-00 comes with sliding four-row QWERTY keyboard, just like other Eseries phones. It also offer support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and IBM Lotus Notes Traveler, built-in Nokia Mobile VPN for connecting company intranet quickly and securely, business grade device lock and wipe functionality, remote device management, and other business-oriented features.

Nokia introduces two new Cseries mobile phones running Symbian^3, the C6-01 and the C7-00. Both smartphones are equipped with a 8 Megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording capability. According to Nokia, “this latest version of Symbian is packing 250 new features and improvements whilst remaining familiar to the millions of existing Symbian users worldwide. With multiple homescreen support, multitasking and gesture-based interactions, this latest version of Symbian^3 is a big leap forward.”

Those of you looking for a Nokia branded smartphone must be eagerly waiting for the Nokia N8 to hit the stores on October 1st.
