Along with the DataTraveler 4000, Kingston also announced the DataTraveler Vault – Privacy Managed (DTVPM) enterprise-grade secure USB flash drive. The drive offers corporate customers centralized control of all USB activity and must be managed by the BlockMaster SafeConsole drive management system. With SafeConsole, administrators can enable specific extended DTVP-M features, configure password and device policies, remotely reset passwords, activate audit for compliance and file restriction options to control what file types may be saved to the drive.

Super Talent announced the new DataGuardian password protected USB flash drive that makes data security easy, affordable and usable. The drive is available in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB capacities. When you plug the DataGuardian into your PC, an application is automatically launched from the drive’s firmware (on-chip). In order to access your data, you have to enter your password.

Kingston announced two new portable USB data security solutions, the DataTraveler 4000 (DT4000) and the DataTraveler Vault – Privacy Managed (DTVPM) secure USB flash drives. The DT4000 is a FIPS 140-2 Level 2 certified (for the entire cryptographic module) USB flash drive with 256-bit AES hardware-based encryption in CBC mode. The drive locks down after 10 intrusion attempts and encryption key is destroyed.
