HTC Leo caught on video demonstrating its multitouch display

There’s been plenty of rumor and speculation regarding the HTC Leo as of late, all serving to pique our interest. If talk of a Snapdragon CPU and an updated TouchFlow 3D UI are not, in fact, greatly exaggerated, it looks like we might have a killer phone on our hands here. And now, to fill in the picture a bit, the kids at PocketPT have hepped us to a demonstration of the device’s multitouch capabilities. Exciting, no? Make sure you check out the video below, which shows the Leo flipping through photo albums and zooming in / out of stills and video the with style and

Last minute Apple rumor roundup: iPhone HD video out, no new iPod touch?

Okay, we’re in the final countdown to Apple’s Only Rock and Roll event, and some interesting bits of info have hit the wires while we’re waiting. First, AppleInsider claims a “historically reliable source” has leaked the entire new lineup of iPods, complete with model numbers, and it’s somewhat surprising if true: not only do capacities remain the same apart from a 160GB iPod classic, the iPod touch is absent from the list — leading some to believe its upgrade has been delayed due to rumored technical issues with the camera module. AI

Apple adds video camera, larger screen to new 5G iPod nano

Apple sure took long enough to get to this, but just as rumored, the iPod nano is seeing a hotly-anticipated refresh today. The big addition? A camera that just so happens to shoot live video (but not stills, apparently). On the lower left of the new fifth-generation nano, you’ll find the camera as well as a speaker and microphone, but unfortunately you’ll have to sync it with your computer before you upload clips to YouTube. The camera-laden nanos will be available starting today in a rainbow’s worth of hues (nine, if we’re being precise), with the 8GB

iPod touch 3rd gen hands-on and video

It’s confusing now that we have an iPod touch 3G, right? We just got done handling the new model, and really, there’s not much to say. It’s a little snappier, but we didn’t do any heavy game playing, and otherwise it’s exactly the same. We thought it seemed thinner, but the cold hard specs stopped that idea in its tracks. Want to see more? Check out the gallery and video below! iPod touch 3G hands-on

Eyes-on: Sony’s XBR10 LCD and its wireless video streaming box

We know, it’s easy to be distracted by the sexy, slim BRAVIA LCD HDTV in front of you, but refocus your eyes for a moment on that unassuming box to the lower right. Given a distinct lack of (read: none) media inputs on the screen itself, that little devices is where all your HDMI, coax and other video sources will be going. With it’s $5,000 pricetag the ability to hide DVR’s, game consoles and whatever else well away from the television itself is a major selling point so feel free to peruse these pictures (no iPhone comparisons, we promise) and get familiar

Apple releases video podcast of Rock and Roll event, we’ve got you covered with the highlights

Need to catch up on today’s Apple news? Well, you can either fire up iTunes and download Apple’s video podcast of the event, or you can skip the endless game demos and marketing chit-chat and just peruse the links below. The executive summary? iTunes 9′s new app management, Home Sharing, and iTunes LP features are really nice, but it’s almost impossible to understand why Apple added a camera to the iPod nano and not the iPod touch, no matter what Steve says. Oh — and don’t forget the Palm Pixi! The event Live from

Rhapsody App approved by Apple: 8 million tracks streaming to the ether (update: video!)

We had a feeling this day was coming. After Spotify’s subscription music app was approved, offline listening intact, there was every indication that Rhapsody was next for christening. Especially with the feds watching Apple’s every move. The free download just went hot and requires a $15 per month Rhapsody To Go subscription — you can try it for free for a week — and streams 64kbps quality (ugh) music over WiFi or cellular data (only, no off-line access) from a catalog of about 8 million tracks offered by the MTV and RealNetwork tie-up. Now go ‘n

gScreen Spacebook caught on video working its dual-screen magic

Admittedly, we had our doubts when we first heard about gScreen’s dual-screen Spacebook portable and saw only renders and prototypes not shown working. We’ve now got video of the laptop in action, although the company couldn’t have done much more to make it a less appealing presentation. The glimpse is seconds long, the resolution is very low and lighting is poor, but it does seem to be working solution. Video beyond the read link, here’s hoping next time around we get something a little clear.

Motorola CLIQ: first hands-on impressions (update: with video)

The wait’s killing us for a proper hands-on with this thing, but we just had a chance to very briefly touch — yes, touch — the CLIQ as we wandered the show (and ran into tnkgrl in the process). Here’s what we can tell you: Despite the MSM7201a core, the UI is definitely faster than any factory ROM we’ve used before on any Android device. A good test of this is to quickly swipe open the app drawer — the action’s smooth on the CLIQ, whereas most Magic ROMs would stutter. The screen is glass capacitive, and it feels that way.

Video: Microsoft’s Windows 7 ad punishes Kylie with Swedish “rock”

There’s nothing we like better than putting on Europe’s The Final Countdown and listening to it over and over and yes, over again. The 80′s “rock” anthem is so damn catchy and just happens to be the theme music behind Microsoft’s (first?) Windows 7 television commercial. The bit brings back Kylie who has cast aside Vista and other childish things for Microsoft’s latest OS. It’s “snappy and re-pon-ki-ser,” says the 5 year old. Aww, shucks. Let the cute wash over you in the videos (new and old) after the break.
