Yes, this is going to be another flying car post in which we lament our current, terrestrial ways and our predominantly Earth-bound means of getting places. NASA has what it thinks is the solution, a personal flying machine called Puffin that is just large enough for a person to wedge themselves into before lurching off vertically, powered by a pair of electric motors. These motors are said to make the machine almost silent so an initial application could be covert battlefield insertions, meaning yet again those military brats get to have all the fun — in theory. However,

If you’re worried of suffering a bad concussion as a result of an accident while you’re riding a motorbike, you might want to check out the ThermaHelm, which is basically a helmet, but it sports a few lightweight chemical packs, built into the camera lining. It seems like the folks over at Goldstriker really enjoy giving devices the “Supreme” treatment. Following the iPhone 3GS Surpreme, Wii Surpreme, PS3 Supreme, now we’ve got the Nokia Supreme. This one seems to differ that it isn’t covered in gold, rather lathered with 12.5 carats of pink diamonds, and 83 grams of platinum. Considering that the iPhone 3GS Supreme was going for £1.92m ($3.2m), this phone should be considered a steal at just £99,995 ($160,000).

Instead of wasting precious minutes of your life untangling unsightly cables you should replace all the cords in your home with these MIDORI AC adapters. Their faux-vine design actually looks better when the cable is all tangled up, though the fake foliage does make it a bit inconvenient to travel with. And while a part of me thinks this is just a concept design, the cable does seem to be listed for sale on the MicroWorks website for 1,365 yen, or about $15. However I have no idea if the business end will work with your phone or not.

We’ve all heard and seen the stories of police brutality. They sure are taser-happy these days. Well, officers in San Jose, CA are being outfitted with head-mounted cameras. They hope this will help stop such situations. The kit includes a camera, a control piece and a computer for their belt. Every time an officer interacts with a civilian, they are supposed to activate the AXON camera.
Afterward, the officer can put the camera on a “buffer” mode that records limited video, or turn it off. At the end of a shift, the video is downloaded to a central server.
