The myriad of issues found in the new Test Drive Unlimited 2 game has been addressed by the developers, who have been attempting a massive public relations drive to prevent the problems becoming a bigger story.
In what can be reasonably described as a PR success, Atari and Eden Games have recently isued an open letter to the TDU2 community thanking them for identifying the various issues affecting players and announcing a series patches.
While it isn’t uncommon to see a top-rated game so afflicted by bugs as Test Drive Unlimited 2, it is refreshing to see the developers acting so quickly. They’re even offering the game’s first premium DLC for free to their gaming community, offering new wrecks to be discovered that unlock the Lancia Stratos version Rallye and 1969 Dodge Charger cars.
Test Drive Unlimited 2 console gamers can expect their updates in the not-too-distant future (pending approval by Microsoft and Sony, respectively) while updates for PC have already been released, resolving the Casino bug, game login issues, corrupt save game problems and online game stability issues.
