Verizon iPad that Supports its Data Networks to Arrive Soon

Verizon iPad that Supports its Data Networks to Arrive Soon

Verizon’s Chief Financial Officer Francis Shammo, in an interview, has said that the carrier will be introducing an iPad version that will be equipped with an inbuilt chip that will help in connecting the device to Verizon’s data network.

As you might already know, iPad users currently need an extra device to connect to Verizon’s network. The carrier now sells a WiFi only model of the Apple iPad, offering the popular iOS tablet bundled with a Verizon MiFi mobile hotspot.

And you must also know that Verizon just announced the much anticipated CDMA version of the iPhone.

But the question that will arise now will be whether the iPad will provide support for the carrier’s speedy LTE network. It was not announced whether it’ll be just 3G support or whether LTE will also be included.

And yet another question will also be in everyone’s minds, whether the carrier will get the current iPad or the upcoming second generation iPad.

So far, Verizon has not given out a hint on when it will be launched or the price. But, new info might come out soon. So stay tuned to this space.
