Verizon offers $29 subsidized netbook for Black Friday

I am a fan of netbooks even though it bothers me that they are all pretty much the same. Netbooks offer plenty of power for most mobile needs on the go in a more portable and less expensive package. If you want a netbook and need 3G broadband service too, a netbook may be the way for you to go.

Verizon Wireless has announced a new Black deal that runs from until Monday that will let you grab up a Gateway LT netbook for only $29. The machine has a 10.2-inch screen, 160GB HDD, 1GB of RAM and Intel Atom power.

The only catch to the deal is the obvious contract and mobile broadband requirement and the fact the discount price is only after a mail-in rebate. The price before the mail-in rebate is $129.
